Holiday Gifts Your Staff Will Actually Use: Custom Apparel for Fraser Valley Businesses

Every December, a lot of businesses hand out the same thing: a gift card in an envelope. It's a nice gesture. It's also spent by January, and nobody remembers who gave it to them.

If you're thinking about staff or client gifts this year, I'd like to make the case for something people will actually wear, and keep wearing long after the holidays.

Why apparel makes a better gift

  • It gets used. A good hoodie or toque comes out every cold morning from November to March. That's months of use from one gift.
  • It feels personal. Your logo on a quality piece says your team belongs to something. A gift card says you ran out of ideas.
  • It keeps working for you. Every time someone wears it to the rink, the grocery store or a job site, your business name goes along for the ride.
  • Everyone gets the same thing. No one compares amounts, and it's easy to include the whole team, from the front desk to the shop floor.

What to order

You don't need a big catalogue. For holiday gifts, these are the pieces that get worn the most:

  • A pullover hoodie. The one nearly everyone reaches for. Easy to size, and it works for staff of any age.
  • A quarter-zip. A sharper layer that looks just as good at a client meeting as on a cold job site.
  • A crewneck sweatshirt. A little dressier than a hoodie, so it's a good fit for clients and office staff.
  • A cuffed knit beanie. Your logo on the front for $12, and nobody has to guess a size. It's an easy add-on for every gift bag.
  • A short-sleeve tee. Our most popular piece year-round. Affordable enough to give the whole team, and it gets worn all summer too.

If you're not sure your logo file will print well, our guide on getting your logo ready for custom apparel walks you through it. And if you'd rather just send what you have, we'll tell you straight whether it'll work.

When to order

To have everything in hand for a staff party or the last week before the holidays, get your order in by Friday, November 20. That gives us time to confirm sizes, decorate every piece and have it ready for you in early December.

The sooner you order, the more relaxed it is. Sizes are the step that usually takes longest, so start collecting them from your team now.

Give back while you're at it

Here's something most suppliers won't offer. If your business has a school, team or charity it already supports, you can name them on your order. Through our Give-Back program, we'll donate 25 to 40 percent of the qualifying order to that organization.

Your staff get a gift they'll use, and a cause in your community gets a donation. It's a simple way to make a holiday order mean a bit more.
